i4p has been founded by former owners and professionals of one of the three QTSPs in Hungary which was one of the first qualified certification providers in Europe. We possess a uniquely high level of professional expertise including significant experience in cryptographic development, product and service development as well as project management.
As service providers, we had used hardware security modules in our day-to-day operations at our first company. So we have first-hand experience of the difficulties of finding the right HSM for our needs, which seemed to be an impossible mission. The products available on the market lacked the appropriate features and the attitude of the vendor made things difficult for us as well: the pricing strategy was not transparent at all, the solutions could not be customized to their needs, and the support service was poor but expensive.
So we started developing our own custom solutions and hired a dedicated team of developers and engineers to perform these tasks. Later, we turned their full focus in this direction when we sold the QTSP and founded i4p. Based on our own experience and leveraging the benefits of the late comers, we developed a new product that we completely redesigned from the basics. The resulting device is a much more forward-looking solution than the HSMs on the market, which are largely based on schemes developed decades ago.
